The Challenge
Newsweek’s revops team was seeing wasted impressions and weak audience matching, and reviewing its tech stack for cost efficiencies. They weren’t actively shopping for a new DMP — but they wanted tighter control on deals, delivery and insights, and far more addressable scale for their sales team.
The Solution
Newsweek launched ArcSpan AMS in February 2024 and was targeting with first-party data within 30 days. ArcSpan centralized Newsweek’s first-party signals — contextual, behavioral, subscriber, newsletter and B2B — enriched them with partner data, and activated audiences into Newsweek’s ad server and SSPs in real time.
The Results — 1H 2024 vs 1H 2025
40% growth in revenue from Direct IO, Programmatic Guaranteed and Preferred Deals
107% growth in audience-targeted deal revenue
Up to 97% improvements in CTR and Viewability across Display and Video
40% increase in 1P audience scale
“Newsweek has grown its addressable audience tremendously. As a result, we waste few impressions and campaign performance has improved, lifting sales success from both existing and new advertisers.”
